The Chicago Bears have reportedly decided on the way forward as it pertains to their quarterback conundrum.
The Bears have the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and there are rumors they could select a QB, especially after the franchise stopped short of committing to Justin Fields during their end-of-season press conference.
However, according to Dov Kleiman, the Bears will retain Fields as their franchise QB and make attempts to trade the first overall pick instead of drafting a signal-caller from the impressive class available.
Kleiman added that the Bears were impressed by the way Fields played in 2022/23.

Fields did have a very good season in 2022. The right-hander passed for 2242 yards on 60.4 percent completion, throwing 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, which is why it was surprising when the Bears did not rule out a trade for him.
An NFL insider recently suggested that the Seattle Seahawks could trade for the first overall pick this year and draft a top defensive tackle. The Seahawks have the No. 5 pick in the upcoming draft and have let other teams know they’re open to trading.
With the No.1 pick now likely to be available, things could get very interesting.
