Kareem Hunt is reportedly available at a reasonable price ahead of the NFL trade deadline on Nov. 1. And now we know more or less what it might take for any interested team to get him.
Cleveland Browns’ Asking Price For Kareem Hunt Trade
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano, other NFL teams are saying the Cleveland Browns running back can be had for a fourth-round draft pick. The report notes Cleveland might need to take on some of Hunt’s salary, as he’s due a $200,000 roster bonus each game he’s active.
Hunt is in the final year of his contract and the Browns are deep at running back.
At 2-5 on the season, the Browns are wise to field calls on expiring contracts currently on their roster.
As the No. 2 back behind Chubb, Hunt has rushed 66 times for 263 times and three touchdowns this season. He also caught 15 passes for 87 yards and a score.
Kareem Hunt Has Changed Teams Before
Kareem Hunt saw his best numbers as a member of the Chiefs. However, his tenure with the team came to an end in 2018 after video of him kicking a woman at a hotel surfaced, leading Kansas City to release him.
He would go on to sign with the Browns in 2019 and has been a quality complement to Chubb ever since.
Hunt is set for free agency after the year which will bring down his trade value.
