The Cleveland Browns have relieved Shedeur Sanders’ jersey number ahead of their new quarterback’s rookie season.
While the former Colorado star had to wait until Day 3 to learn his future in the NFL Draft, he has been the top seller among rookies when it comes to threads. Now that his jersey number has been disclosed, sales are expected to ramp up even more.
Shedeur wore the No. 2 jersey in college, which is part of his “2Legendary” brand, but he’s going to wear an additional digit in the pros. Ben Axelrod of Awful Announcing shared the Browns’ rookie jersey numbers for minicamp on Tuesday, and it appears the team is adding a 1 to his old number.
According to Axelrod, he’s set to wear the No. 12 jersey. Of course, it would have been great either way as Shedeur’s mentor, Tom Brady, wore No. 12, while his dad, Deion Sanders, wore No. 21.
His former Colorado teammate, Travis Hunter, who wore No. 12 in college, will also wear that number in the pros.
Shedeur Sanders Wants To Bring Cleveland A Super Bowl

The 2024 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award winner is already a favorite in Cleveland. He wasted little time getting to know the city and recently visited John Marshall High School.

“I’m trying to bring Cleveland a Super Bowl!” he told students. “But off the field, I want to bring more hope and positivity to the city, and connecting with young people is one of the best ways to do that.”
Sanders is hardly guaranteed to start, given the names before him in the pecking order, but he can certainly make a bid for the role this offseason.
Either way, his jersey will do numbers as they’ve been flying off the shelves since he got drafted.
