Before coming to this decision, Flacco also spoke with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings but opted to spend his 18th NFL season with the Browns.

Joe Flacco Has a Very Good Chance of Being The Starting QB

After winning 11 games and reaching the playoffs in 2023, the Browns collapsed in 2024, going 3-14. Deshaun Watson, Jameis Winston, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, and Bailey Zappe all started games at quarterback.
Cleveland holds the 2nd overall pick in the draft. They could go with drafting a young quarterback.
The Browns also have Kenny Pickett on hand while Deshaun Watson recovers from a torn Achilles.
Even if they went that route, Joe Flacco would have a very good chance of winning the starting job.
His past history with the team gives him a leg up.
Flacco capped off an unexpected yet unforgettable 2023 season by being named the AP Comeback Player of the Year at NFL Honors.
In five regular season games, Flacco completed 123-of-204 passes for 1,616 yards and 13 touchdowns.
