A few things could derail the Cleveland Browns 2022 season and one of them is losing a key piece on defense.
In today’s last practice of mandatory minicamp, one of those top-level defensive players for the Browns left early with a trainer after an apparent lower leg injury.
During Thursday’s practice session, Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward was spotted walking slowly off the field and into the locker room after being checked by the team’s medical staff.
Back in April, the Browns signed Denzel Ward to a five-year deal with a total value of $100.5 million. The deal also included $71.25 million in guarantees.
The fourth-overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft appeared in 15 games for the Browns and recorded 43 tackles, half a sack, three interceptions, and one touchdown.
