The Green Bay Packers brought back a familiar face to their offense this week. They added an offensive lineman who is fresh off winning a championship in a spring league.
The Packers are signing center Cole Schneider after a workout, per Aaron Wilson.
Schneider signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of UCF following the 2022 NFL draft, but he got released during the first round of cuts last August. He was unable to play in any of the Packers’ preseason contests due to an ankle injury, which contributed to him being released from the team.
Schneider joined the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL this past season and appeared in nine games. The Stallions just won back-to-back USFL championships.
Scheider will get a second chance to impress the coaching staff at camp this August.
The Packers have had quite the offseason as they usher in a new era without Aaron Rodgers after they traded him to the New York Jets just days before the NFL Draft. Quarterback Jordan Love has been handed the keys to the franchise so now the team can finally see if h can be the guy going forward.
