Things are not starting out well for Stefon Diggs in New England, and he has yet to put on the uniform.
Just two months after signing a $69 million contract with the New England Patriots, the All-Pro wide receiver could be in some hot water over a viral video of him on a boat.
The video surfaced on Tuesday and appears to depict Diggs interacting with several bikini-clad women on a yacht as he flashes an unidentified pink substance. Though Diggs doesn’t say what the substance is in the video, he tells the women surrounding him not to “take all of it” and to go “have fun” and come back to him.
The timing is far from ideal for the Patriots, who are in the midst of their organized team activities period of voluntary offseason workouts. Diggs is not required to be with the team during this time, but the Patriots’ mandatory minicamp begins on June 9.
Now, it appears that he isn’t at practice for a reason.
NFL insider Albert Breer is reporting that Stefon Diggs is not at practice because head coach Mike Vrabel “told him to stay away.”

“My guess is the reason why he wasn’t at practice the other day might be because Mike (Vrabel) told him to stay away.”

Mike Vrabel Speaks On Stefon Diggs

Stefon Diggs is making headlines before even stepping on the field for the New England Patriots.
Over the weekend, footage surfaced of the NFL wide receiver flashing an unidentified pink substance while surrounded by multiple women on a yacht.
The video quickly went viral, with new head coach Mike Vrabel forced to address the matter at the beginning of a press conference on Wednesday.
Vrabel suggested the Patriots would handle the incident internally.
“It’s something we’re aware of, and obviously we want to make great decisions on and off the field,” Vrabel told reporters.
“Any conversations that I’ve had with Stefon will remain between him and I and the club.”
Stefon Diggs arrived amid continued rehabilitation from a torn ACL that he sustained in Week 8 last season with the Houston Texans.
