Colorado standout Travis Hunter has received some good news ahead of this week’s NFL Draft, as his father has been given the green light to attend Thursday’s event.
Travis Hunter Sr. has been cleared to travel from West Palm Beach to Green Bay, where the draft will be held this Thursday, to watch his son take the first step of his NFL career, with the younger Travis expected to be among the top three picks.
Hunter Sr. was handed an exception to travel as part of a three-year probation agreement following a 90-day prison sentence stemming from gun and drug charges following his arrest in 2023.

While he was released from jail early – a few days before his son won the Heisman – he did not attend the ceremony.
The two-way star would reference his father in an emotional speech, ruing the fact that he could not be present.
“From not seeing probably two games in high school to seeing me on TV every weekend and coming to see me,” the star DB/WR said. “That means so much to me. I know you wanted to be here and you can’t, but trust me, I got you. I’m bringing the trophy home. I love you.”

Travis Hunter Sr. Will Be Restricted On His Visit To Green Bay

Things will be different this time around, with The Palm Beach Post reporting that Travis Sr. will be in attendance for the biggest moment of his son’s life.
The publication also notes that, per the terms of his agreement, he can only be at his hotel and the venue at Lambeau Field. He’s also required to return to Florida on Friday.
Hunter is expected to be the No. 2 or No. 3 overall pick on Thursday, with the New York Giants tipped to select him if the Cleveland Browns don’t take him at No. 2.
