In the blink of an eye, you can go from being a sad fan to an internet meme if the cameras catch you. That’s what happened Sunday in the fourth quarter of the San Francisco 49ers-Dallas Cowboys fan.
CBS found a woman inside AT&T stadium crying her eyes out with the home team down six points and 4:05 left.
As expected, that woman was found and she went on local radio to talk about the moment:
San Francisco opened up a 13–0 lead early in the second quarter, and led 23–7 by the end of the third. They attempted a furious comeback, but fell short when Dak Prescott scrambled with just seconds left to play and the team not having timeouts. A Trailing ref knocking him over from behind ensured they would run out of time in the game.
Dallas was penalized 14 times throughout the game—tying the franchise’s all-time postseason record—and the Cowboys routinely stood in their own way whenever they put together a promising drive.
The offseason will not be fun for them.
