So much for the surprise…
It’s been known for a while now that the Dallas Cowboys will be wearing a new uniform that includes a highly-anticipate alternate helmet for their Thanksgiving Day game against the New York Giants. However, no one was supposed to see those actual uniforms until the team reveals them at a ceremony that’s expected to take place at a later date.
Well…it looks like we all got an early preview of at least one aspect of Dallas’ Thanksgiving Day kits, as running back Ezekiel Elliott appears to have accidentally leaked to new helmets on his Instagram account.
Zeke quickly deleted the post, but not before some screenshots were taken (via TMZ):
Im sure Jerry Jones will be having a word with Elliott about this one.
The good news is Zeke only leaked the helmet. So the entire cat isn’t out of the bag, so to speak.
That week 12 game is likely to be an important one for Dallas, as they take on their division rivals, the New York Giants. Through eight weeks of football, both teams own identical 6-2 records. So they could very well be playing for a spot in the postseason, and maybe even a shot at catching the 8-0 Eagles for top spot in the NFC East.
