The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly keen on shoring up their wide receiver room over the offseason.
The storied franchise has no real depth behind No. 1 option CeeDee Lamb, and they’re understood to be in the market for a top second option following another disappointing campaign.
Deebo Samuel was one of the bigger names up for grabs but is set to join another NFC East outfit in the Washington Commanders following reports of an agreement with the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday.
#DallasCowboys are reportedly looking to upgrade at their No. 2 WR spot, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano. Dallas “could end up being a Cooper Kupp suitor if his price drops far enough.” Should the Cowboys be in play for Kupp? pic.twitter.com/zPFp1l6m2a

According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, the Cowboys are a potential suitor for veteran wideout Cooper Kupp, whom the Los Angeles Rams have put up for sale. The team informed the WR that they will be moving on from him this year, though they have since made moves to keep quarterback Matthew Stafford amid rumors that they were looking to go younger.
Cooper Kupp Could Emerge As A Prime Option For The Dallas Cowboys If The Price Is Right

Graziano is reporting that Dallas will be in the running to land Kupp if his price drops low enough, though they still believe Jonathan Mingo could be the No. 2 option behind Lamb in time to come.

“The Cowboys will be in the market for a No. 2 receiver behind CeeDee Lamb. They have some hope that Jonathan Mingo, their trade-deadline acquisition from Carolina, can evolve into that, but obviously it’s too soon to know and they will be in the market to add at that position,” Graziano wrote.
“They could end up being a Cooper Kupp suitor if his price drops far enough. Dallas also will look to add a dynamic player at running back to pair with Rico Dowdle, who finished the season strong for them.”
A Super Bowl champion with the Rams, Kupp was the NFL’s receiving yards and receiving touchdowns leader in 2021, when he was also named the Offensive Player of the Year.
Injuries have bothered the 31-year-old in recent years, but he remains a viable threat and should upgrade any offense he joins.
