The Dallas Cowboys have signed a veteran offensive lineman to bolster their depth ahead of next week’s 2025 NFL Draft.
According to Cowboys reporter Clarence Hill Jr. of DLLS Sports, the team has signed offensive tackle Hakeem Adeniji. The Kansas product signed with the Cleveland Browns last year but missed all of 2024 recovering from a serious knee injury.
For the second straight year, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been curiously quiet in the trade and free agent markets. But signing Adeniji to a cheap deal at least brings much-needed depth on the o-line after Dallas lost longtime mainstay and All-Pro guard Zack Martin to retirement.
The 27-year-old Hakeem Adeniji was a sixth-round pick (180th overall) by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2020. Adeniji appeared in 39 games over his three seasons there, making 15 starts.

Adeniji started all four of Cincinnati’s playoff games in 2021 during their surprise run to Super Bowl 56, where they fell to the Los Angeles Rams. He also started their three postseson games in 2022, where they fell to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
The five starting offensive linemen on the Dallas Cowboys’ depth chart are Tyler Guyton, Tyler Smith, Cooper Beebe, Robert Jones and Terence Steel. Last week, Dallas also signed veteran Saahdiq Charles as a depth piece to their o-line.

Dallas Cowboys Hold No. 12 Pick In 2025 NFL Draft

Whether Cowboys fans like it or not, it’s obvious that Jerry Jones’ biggest offseason addition will be whatever he does in the first round. Dallas holds the No. 12 pick in next week’s draft, though they have the opportunity to move up or down from that spot.
Dallas’ main needs heading into the draft are wide receiver (CeeDee Lamb really could use a sidekick), safety, guard and defensive end.
