Davante Adams thought the grass would be greener on the other side, and he’s finding out that the lawn hasn’t been mowed for months.
The Raiders sent their first two picks in the 2022 NFL Draft to the Packers in exchange for Davante Adams. While he has delivered on the field, the Raiders are a bad football team.
The Colts beat the Raiders 25-20 in Jeff Saturday’s debut as interim head coach Sunday afternoon at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Derek Carr completed 24 of 38 passes for 248 yards and two TDs. Davante Adams caught nine passes for 126 yards and a TD.
Following their third loss in a row, a clearly frustrated Adams spoke to reporters and stated how Sundays are supposed to be fun, but have become the least fun day of the week for the team.
“Sunday is supposed to be fun and it’s the least fun day of the week right now so that’s a problem. We gotta fix that.”
Two weeks ago, Saturday in his analyst role tweeted that the “Raiders look horrible” during their 24-0 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
As it turns out, he was right as he coached his team to a victory over that same team.
The Raiders are now 2-7 on the year and sit in last place in the AFC West. The only team that has a worst record than them are the Houston Texans, which was the last team that defeated before this current losing streak.
