49ers players had been trashing the Eagles after since the team eliminated them from the NFC Championship game. The players expected the Eagles secondary to have trouble slowing down the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. It turns out they were correct and it came at the worst time.
Brandon Aiyuk came under fire for saying that the Chiefs’ passing game would “expose” the Eagles secondary. Deebo Samuel backed that up, saying on the “I Am Athlete” podcast that the Philadelphia weaknesses are in the secondary.
“The D-line makes them All-Pros,” Samuel said. “[Bradberry is] trash. Did you see the play that Brandon [Aiyuk] had, the play Purdy got hurt? The separation?”
He was blasted for what he said.
Bradberry was the one penalized for the game-altering defensive holding call that put the Chiefs in position to waste more time and kick the game-winning field goal. His penalty prevented the Eagles from having a shot at a real response.
Deebo would soon respond:
The 49ers and the Eagles will play next year in the regular season, and everything that was said will resurface and emotions will be high.
It should be noted that the game will be in Philadelphia, so fans will be rowdier than usual.WANT MORE FROM TOTALPROSPORTS? FOLLOW US ON GOOGLE NEWS.
