Back in March, Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders called out some NFL teams that didn’t attend the school’s pro day. Not only did the Detroit Lions attend Jackson State’s pro day, they drafted one of Sanders’ players, but the social media team ended up upsetting him in a huge way.
With the No. 217 overall pick in this year’s draft, the Lions selected edge rusher James Houston.
After he was selected, the team posted his highlights on social media, but only used his footage from his three years at Florida.
“Y’all know he played for @gojsutigersfb ! This is why it is what it is. Take this down or I blow it up and put out Highlights on here please. 54321…..” Deion wrote in the comment section below.

Jackson State has thrived under Sanders, who led the program to an 11-2 record, a SWAC Championship and an appearance in the Celebration Bowl last year.
Houston finished the 2021 season with 70 tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, 16.5 sacks and seven forced fumbles.
