There will be nowhere for Deion Sanders to run on Thursday night, nor will he have anywhere to hide, with at least one of his sons set to get drafted into the NFL ahead of next season.
The former star cornerback has done a great job of avoiding his ex-wife, even physically running away from her on occasion. However, they will be in the same room for the first time in years this Thursday.
Shedeur Sanders is expected to be a first-round draft pick, though he was not one of those invited to the first round, while his brother Shilo is likely to go in the latter rounds. They will all be at Coach Prime’s house on Thursday night, with Pilar Sanders set to join them.
Sanders was shown running away from his former spouse during a Colorado game last season, but, at his sons’ behest, both he and Pilar will be around to commemorate the moment(s), and Deion will not be taking off to go anywhere.
“Draft night, you’re not going to be able to run dog,” Shedeur said on an episode of his dad’s ‘We Got Time Today’ podcast. Deion’s response? “You got that right… I prayed about it, and I’m making a sacrifice for you and you.”

“We wanted both of our parents there to celebrate with us,” Shilo joked. “So ours are on different days.”
It’s a nice gesture on the coach’s part, but he will be more concerned with where his sons end up in the draft.
