Just when you thought things could not get worse with the Dallas Cowboys, a former player is taking shots at them.
Seattle is set to sign defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence on a three-year, $42 million contract, and he couldn’t be happier. The deal includes $18 million guaranteed, NFL Network reported.
Aside from the money, he also seems to think that the Seahawks are closer to doing something that his former team isn’t.
Lawrence spent his first 11 years in the league with the Cowboys after being drafted in the second round of the 2014 draft.
Lawrence commented interestingly on his former team’s Super Bowl prospects in an exclusive interview with Hawk Blogger’s Brian Nemhauser.
“Dallas is my home. I made my home there. My family lives there. I’m forever gonna be there. I know for sure I’m not gonna win a Super Bowl there, so… yeah, we here,” Lawrence stated about the Dallas Cowboys.

Despite how he feels, Lawrence had an impressive run in Dallas that included four Pro Bowl appearances and back-to-back double-digit sack seasons in 2017 and 2018.
Lawrence was off to a hot start last year with three sacks and 14 tackles, but a foot injury slowed him down.
The Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Odds Are Not Good

The Philadelphia Eagles stopped the Kansas City Chiefs’ threat of a three-peat, winning Super Bowl 59 40-22.
While Philadelphia has established itself as a consistently dominant force in the NFC, the Dallas Cowboys are still fighting to get deeper into the playoffs.
The Cowboys missed the playoffs and ended the 2024 regular season with a 7-10 record. They have a new coach and new assistants.
ESPN has Dallas with 50-1 odds to win the next Super Bowl, which is tied with the Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks.
The franchise has not made it past the divisional round of the playoffs since 1995.
