The popular “NFL on Nickelodeon” program will return in less than three weeks when the Denver Broncos visit the Los Angeles Rams on Christmas Day. But there’s a nice bonus for the fans of the program.
Per Ben Fischer of the Sports Business Journal, the ever popular “slime” feature will be used for the Rams-Broncos game at SoFi Stadium. Young Dylan will be a sideline reporter for the contest, and fans will get to hear commentary from William Fagerbakke, who voices Patrick on SpongeBob SquarePants.
The Broncos-Rams tilt is one of three announced games for Christmas Day. Because Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, the majority of NFL games for Week 15 will instead take place on Christmas Eve Saturday.
The first Christmas Day game will see Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers traveling to South Beach for a showdown with Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins. The final game of the night will feature Tom Brady and the NFC South-leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers visiting Kyler Murray’s Arizona Cardinals.

Before the start of the season, the Broncos-Rams showdown looked like a marquee matchup. But the Broncos have been a giant disappointment despite the addition of nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson, and the defending champion Rams have been hit hard by the injury bug.
If the NFL draft were held today, the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions would hold the third and fourth overall picks, respectively. Seattle received that pick from Denver in the Wilson trade, and the Lions got LA’s 2023 first-rounder as part of the 2021 Matthew Stafford trade.
Chances are the Broncos-Rams game won’t be all that thrilling. But at least fans have the option to watch the game through Nickelodeon’s unique and creative broadcast.
