Ezekiel Elliott wants the Cowboys to commit to the ground game after he only received a total of 10 carries in week one. Ezekiel Elliott wants to carry the rock more in game two than he did week one after rushing for just 52 yards on 10 carries.
During a recent episode of ESPN’s Get Up, former offensive lineman Damien Woody called out Elliott for being completely missing after Jerry Jones talked him up during the offseason.
“Jerry Jones talked about Ezekiel Elliott,” Woody said. “Where is he? Where is Zeke? He’s on the back of a milk carton. He’s supposed to be eating and doing all that stuff. Where’s he eating at?”
Ezekiel Elliott averaged just over 5 yards a carry on Sunday. Dallas had some success on the ground but found themselves behind the chains too many times.
It led to them scoring just 3 points all game long.
The penalties did them no favors, but the offense had plenty of chances to continue to run the ball between the tackles, and they just flat-out went away from it.
With Dak Prescott out for weeks, the team will need to lean on Zeke to take some pressure off of him if they want a chance to stay afloat until their starting QB comes back healthy.WANT MORE FROM TOTALPROSPORTS? FOLLOW US ON GOOGLE NEWS.
