Last week, there was a report from Josina Anderson that sparked major controversy among Philadelphia Eagles fans when she sourced an anonymous Eagles player who criticized quarterback Carson Wentz and the team’s offense.
“We need to make bleep simpler. Sometimes we need to just handle what is manageable. Even Peyton Manning knew when to check it down. Carson Wentz right now is 38-percent on passes that travel 15 air yards, has three interceptions on passes like that, which is tied for most in the league. He also has 148 passes on those that are 10 yards or fewer, right now he has nine touchdowns and zero interceptions on passes like that so I do think it is an apt point,” the player allegedly told Anderson.
Eagles reporter Howard Eskin then revealed on Monday he had identified wide receiver Alshon Jeffery as the anonymous player sourced by Anderson.
The ESPN NFL insider would catch wind of the accusations and fire back at him on Twitter.
It’s been a tough weekend overall for the Eagles, as they’ve been blown out in back-to-back weeks by the Vikings and Cowboys and it has dropped their record to 3-4 and now has them a game out of first place in the NFC East.
