Ashley Brewer is making waves with her latest comments about her former employer.
The former “SportsCenter” anchor revealed that ESPN once lectured her because she posted a controversial photo on social media.
The 33-year-old, who started her broadcasting career as a sideline reporter for Cox 7 Arizona, was hired by ESPN in 2020.
In 2023, ESPN laid off Brewer as part of the network’s budget-related cuts.
Earlier this week, former ESPN anchor Sage Steele called out the company for its view of conservative employees.
“There’s a long list of examples where ESPN/Disney considers having conservative viewpoints a much greater offense than questionable character,” Steele wrote on X.
This is when Ashley Brewer revealed that her bosses “chewed her out” for posting a picture of her and a Republican congressman.

In addition to her, Jeff Van Gundy, Max Kellerman, Keyshawn Johnson, Suzy Kolber, and Jalen Rose were all included on a list of people who were fired by the company.
Ashley Brewer Got Fired Right Before Her Wedding

Brewer was among those hit by ESPN’s layoffs, and it was incredibly bad timing for her because she was actually getting married to the love of her life.
Brewer tweeted that she has learned a lot since joining the network in 2020 and was grateful for the opportunity. “I know God has a plan for my life, and I look forward to what’s next,” she wrote.
Minutes later, she added, “What’s next: my wedding is in one week!” she tweeted with a laughing emoji.
NBA center Frank Kaminsky and former “SportsCenter” anchor Ashley Brewer celebrated their wedding with a ceremony in Los Cabos, Mexico, in 2023.
