Cardale Jones, the former starting quarterback of the DC Defenders of the XFL, is going viral on social media because of a simple visit to a Vice-President Pence rally in Columbus, OH.
News of Cardale Jones attending the event first appeared on Twitter via the account of Columbus Dispatch reporter Adam Cairns:
Jones is the former Ohio State University quarterback who led Ohio State to the 2014 College Football Playoffs National Championship.
When asked by a Columbus Dispatch reporter for a comment, Jones responded, “I don’t talk politics.”
He would later take to Twitter to clarify why he was at the rally:
“People are going to infer what they want. I came out to support a friends business hosting a presidential event and the #FOP, an organization of law enforcement that holds each other accountable for misconduct,” Jones explained. “At the end of the day, all I want is peace, justice and equality for ALL. Politics isn’t my forte as continue to educated myself before voting.
“As I continue to EDUCATE myself on both candidates and policies, then I’ll vote for who I THINK is best fit to lead our country.
