An Atlanta Falcons player saw something inspiring on the news and he now wants to connect with one of the survivors of the Texas elementary school shooting after he was him wearing his jersey.
Falcons Safety Dean Marlowe took to Twitter over the weekend and begged for fans to help him reach out to the young Texas school shooting survivor so he can try and brighten his day.
“Someone help me get in touch with this family. I would love to send some signed gear,” Marlowe said white quote tweeting a message to the Falcons.
The boy Marlowe wants to reach is 9-year-old Daniel Ruiz.
Ruiz escaped the school shooting by climbing out of a broken window.
He told CNN’s Dana Bash that he saw the shooter’s face through the window before multiple shots passed through their classroom’s door – hitting his teacher in the leg.
Ruiz’s cousin, Ellie Garcia, was one of the 19 children killed in the shooting.
