It could all be so simple.
The Houston Astros beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-1, Saturday night in Game 6 to win the World Series in front of their home crowd which sent the entire city into a frenzy.
Kate Upton and her husband, Astros ace Justin Verlander, were seen speaking at the Fox Sports postgame show where the supermodel got put on the spot when asked if she’d want her 39-year-old husband to retire now that he has won his second World Series title.
“I love watching my husband do what he loves…to see him do his craft. He’s such an artist out there when he’s pitching,” Upton said.
As you know, there was another supermodel who wanted her husband to retire and even gave him an ultimatum to do it to save their marriage. They are now divorce.
As expected, social media users brought up Tom Brady and Gisele.
Verlander, who returned this season at age 39 after missing the 2021 season due to Tommy John surgery, posted one of his best statistical seasons.
He went 18–4 on the season with a 1.75 ERA and 185 strikeouts and was named to his ninth All-Star Game and is the overwhelming favorite to capture his third Cy Young award.
After a screwup in Game 1 of the World Series, he eventually picked up his first victory in Game 5.
