Family feuds. That is what Golden Tate’s sister, Breanna Tate, is in the center of, as the beef between the NFL wide receiver and Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey coming to a head last year.
The question is, how did Golden Tate’s sister manage to ignite this? Let’s take a deep dive into Breanna Tate.
Who Is Breanna Tate?
Breanna Tate is the sister of NFL wide receiver Golden Tate. She was born on April 4, 1995, and is currently 26 years old. Breanna grew up in Hendersonville, Tennessee, and went to Brentwood Academy before college.
Despite being the sister of a professional athlete, she had a smaller athletic career of her own. Breanna, alongside her twin sister Deanna, ran sprints for the track and field team at Ole Miss University.

Breanna ran track indoors and outdoors for Ole Miss.
Some indoor highlights in 2014 include a 7.73 time in the 60-meter sprint at the UAB Blazer Invitational. At the Don Kirby sprint, she posted a 24.69 time in the 200-meter sprint and a 58.15 time in the 400-meter sprint.
As for outdoor highlights, she won the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints at the MC Twilight Invitational with times of 12.26 and 24.85 seconds in each event.
But, arguably, her most notable moment at Ole Miss was on the 4×100 meter relay team for the outdoor team in 2015. They ran a 43.89 time in the NCAA East Preliminary, which was the second-fastest time in school history at the time.
Breanna Tate Drama
For a while, Breanna was in a long-term relationship with star cornerback Jalen Ramsey. However, the two seem broke it off back in 2019, when Ramsey apparently left Breanna for a Las Vegas dancer.
It might have been bad enough that Ramsey publicly broke it off with Tate for a dancer, but that was far from the worst of it.
Apparently, Tate and Ramsey had a daughter together. This was back in 2018, so the girl was already a year old when Tate became Jalen Ramsey’s ex.
On top of that, in 2019, Breanna was pregnant with another child on the way. And yes, that child also belonged to Jalen Ramsey. So, the two were going to split up despite sharing two children.
Their second daughter was born in September of 2019.
Golden Tate vs. Jalen Ramsey
Since Breanna is the sister of Golden Tate, he apparently felt protective of her. Since she and Ramsey broke up, Golden Tate has publicly expressed that he is not happy with the way Ramsey was treating his sister Breanna.
He felt like Ramsey owed her and that she deserved to get treated better than the way that Ramsey was treating her. Most importantly, he felt that an explanation was deserved.
Tate seemed to want to confront Ramsey face to face. Well, on October 4, 2020, Tate would get that chance on the field.
The New York Giants played the Rams at SoFi Stadium that day, Tate and Ramsey’s respective teams at the time. This was about a year after Breanna and Jalen’s second child was born, and the public reveal of the two breaking up.
However, the feelings were apparently still very fresh for Golden Tate. During the week leading up to the game, Tate even told the media, “I’m not happy at all with the disrespect that he’s shown towards my sister, and the things he’s done in the past, but I don’t really want to go too much into it.”
the two clashed during the contest. Then, after the game, Golden Tate and Jalen Ramsey had a chance to be face to face with each other on the field.
Well, some emotions seemed to be expressed, resulting in the two throwing punches with each other. Both got some punches in and eventually had to be separated by their respective teammates.
The scene caused some negative attention as Giants Head Coach Joe Judge publicly reprimanded Tate to the media, noting that it was not how he wanted his team to behave.
Professional Life Of Golden Tate’s Sister
As of now, not much is known about what Breanna Tate does for a living, if anything. Being related to Golden Tate and the baby mama of successful cornerback Jalen Ramsey, it is assumed that her main job is being a mother to her two daughters.
In terms of her history in track, it does not seem like that amounted to anything past her time in Ole Miss.
Child Support For Breanna Tate?
It is unknown if Tate receives child support from Jalen Ramsey. Right now, Ramsey currently has a 5 year, $100 million contract with the Los Angeles Rams. Of that $100 million, $71 million is guaranteed.
Before that, Ramsey made some money with the Jacksonville Jaguars. When he first entered the league, he had a 4 year, $23.35 million contract.
So, with almost $100 million in guaranteed money made throughout his career so far, it is safe to say that he would have the money for child support. If Tate receives part of this salary, then she and her daughters would more than likely have enough money to live comfortably for the rest of their lives.
This does not even account for her brother, Golden Tate. Sure, he is not legally responsible for providing for her. But given his public altercation with Ramsey, he probably wants to see his sister taken care of.
If he were to enter the picture, he would have about $57-million made from his NFL career so far. However, right now, he is currently unsigned. There is speculation that his career in the NFL might be over after playing for nine seasons.
Breanna Tate’s oldest daughter is currently three years old, and her youngest daughter is about to turn two.
