Jameis Winston’s 2021 season is up in the air, but he isn’t showing that it has gotten him down.
On Sunday, the Saints QB was carted back to the locker room with a knee injury during the second quarter of Sunday’s 36-27 win against his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was injured during a horse-collar tackle by Buccaneers linebacker Devin White.
After the huge victory, Winston could be seen in the locker room dancing up a storm, crutches and all.
Coach Sean Payton describes the knee injury for QB Jameis Winston as “significant.”
He was 6-for-10 passing for 56 yards and 40 rushing yards before the injury.
Trevor Siemian was thrust into the game in place of Winston because Taysom Hill is still out with an injury.
