This is not what the Oakland Raiders wanted when they traded for Antonio Brown.
Jon Gruden has likely expressed some serious frustration with the Antonio Brown situation privately, but has stated nothing about publicly.
That all changed over the weekend.
On Saturday, the Oakland Raiders head coach decided he was going to stand by his star wide receiver on his helmet sitaution as well as his foot injury.
“There’s been a lot of reports out there. I can’t say I agree with all of them. This foot injury wasn’t his fault, and it’s a serious injury…And the helmet thing is a personal matter to him…and we’re supporting him,” Gruden said on Saturday night.
Brown is dealing with a serious foot injury reportedly caused by cryotherapy and wearing the wrong footwear. He has also threatened to hang up his cleats for forever if he is not allowed to wear a same style helmet he has been wearing since he came in the league.
The Raiders finally got their minds off of the Brown situation when they took the field on Saturday night and defeated the Los Angeles Rams 14-3.
