The bottom of a football pile can be very testy.
Buffalo Bills star quarterback Josh Allen found that out when he became livid at the bottom of the pile as he ripped off Christian Wilkins’ helmet and received a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s contest.
Allen indicated to the referee that Wilkins had grabbed his groin and pointed in that direction.
Here is what Wilkins said about the incident:
The Bills QB was recently asked about the incident and while he wouldn’t come out and say what happened, he basically spelled it out that his junk was grabbed.
The Bills would go on to lose the game, 21-19, and drop to 2-1 on the season.
“We’ll learn from this one tomorrow, take it on the chin, and prepare for next week,” Allen said postgame after throwing for 400 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. “That’s all we can do. We can move forward. We’re 2-1. I’d like to be 3-0. But 2-1, we can still accomplish everything we want to accomplish.”
The Dolphins improved to 3-0 with Sunday’s win and sit alone atop the AFC East.
