Justin Fields’ training camp and preseason performance has fans pushing for him to be the starter by the time Week 1 comes along.
The rookie quarteback isn’t short on confidence as he displayed in the third quarter of Chicago’s win over Miami when he connected with Jesse James for a touchdown.
On top of that, closer video shows him actually smiling at the Dolphins defense as he just knew by the look of the play he was going to score.
Fields completed 14 of 20 attempts for 142 yards and a score. He also added 33 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown during his preseason debut. Despite how he looked, Bears head coach Matt Nagy confirmed on Monday morning that Dalton is still the QB1.
Dalton played two series, completing two passes for 18 yards.
