Marquise Brown isn’t hitting the free agent market, after all.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown to a one-year contract worth up to $11 million. The announcement of the deal comes after news emerged of fellow wideout Xavier Worthy being arrested for a family assault charge.
Per multiple reports, Worthy was arrested on Friday night for assaulting a family member or house member in Williamson County, Texas. The 2024 first-round pick was taken into custody after being removed from the home.

Marquise Brown signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs in free agency last year after two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. Brown missed all but two regular season games recovering from shoulder surgery, catching nine passes for 91 yards in those games.
The Chiefs went on to reach Super Bowl 59, where they fell to the Philadelphia Eagles by a final score of 40-22. In three postseason games, Marquise Brown caught five passes for 50 yards.
Re-signing Brown is a nice start to the offseason for KC, with wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster, DeAndre Hopkins and Mecole Hardman also slated to hit free agency. Clearly, Andy Reid and company liked what they saw in the limited playing time for Brown.

Marquise Brown Gets Another Chance To Reset His Market
Brown showed signs of morphing into a star during the 2021 season when he caught 91 passes for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns. Unfortunately, injuries have largely prevented Hollywood from getting close to that form again.
But if he can stay healthy and produce with Patrick Mahomes, Brown could set himself up for a lucrative multi-year deal in 2026.
