
The Dallas Cowboys will be without their starting quarterback, Dak Prescott, for six to eight weeks after he suffered an injury to his throwing hand against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night and underwent surgery on Monday.
Cooper Rush is the next quarterback up in Dallas.
The 49ers have a quarterback they tried all offseason to trade, but would the Cowboys be willing to spend to bring Jimmy G to Dallas. A better question might be would the 49ers send him there.
A reporter asked head coach Kyle Shanahan that question on Monday.

“Just like all players, we’ll listen to anybody on anything,” Shanahan responded. “That never changes for any player or coach. We’ll always listen to anybody.”
For now, the Cowboys plan to stick with backup Cooper Rush as the interim starter, despite Rush’s lack of experience.
