The Lamar Jackson saga is one which should command plenty of attention this offseason. And why shouldn’t it? One of the best quarterbacks of this generation is set to be a free agent; everyone will be monitoring the situation.
Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens have failed to agree on a new deal at every turn, but the team has the option of placing the franchise tag on him. In fact, it would come as a huge shock if they do not as the move will allow them to negotiate a long-term deal for the QB on an exclusive basis.
The circumstances surrounding Jackson could have far-reaching implications as he could set a new bar for NFL quarterbacks, more so if he becomes an unrestricted free agent.
PFF has projected a five-year deal worth $260 million for the star signal-caller, with $208 million to be guaranteed.

The team also has several good players who would likely flourish around Jackson. Michael Pittman Jr. would make a splendid target, while Jonathan Taylor was one of the best running backs around before he fell victim to injury himself.WANT MORE FROM TOTALPROSPORTS?
