With two minutes left in the fourth quarter of the AFC Championship Game, the Buffalo Bills were in desperation mode.
They faced fourth-and-5 at their own 47-yard line when Josh Allen dropped back to pass.
Unbeknownst to him, the Chiefs’ pass rush was coming in hard, but Allen somehow found tight end Dalton Kincaid with a desperation heave.
Unfortunately, the Buffalo Bills star dropped it.
It was a spectacular play from Allen and a devastating drop by Kincaid.
Missed during that play was the refs throwing a penalty flag.
CBS announcer Jim Nantz was convinced that a flag had been thrown on the fourth-down attempt. However, as soon as the play ended, the flag was nowhere to be seen, and it wasn’t shown on television.

Many fans online were convinced that the refs were ready to announce a call against the Buffalo Bills if Kincaid caught that football.
“🚨Conspiracy Theory Alert🚨 #NFL FANS ARE SAYING THE REFS HAD A FLAG READY IF THE #BILLS COMPLETED THE DALTON KINCAID 4TH DOWN PLAY. Jim Nantz and Tony Romo said there was a flag down on the field; once they saw it was incomplete, it somehow disappeared. What do you think?” one fan wrote.

Here is how social media reacted:
“Bills messed up. Chiefs are a good team, but you add the refs. Then they are very difficult to beat. Flag on the field was lifted because Dalton Kincaid didn’t catch the ball. Had he caught it, the refs would have conspired to call a penalty against the Bills. Offensive holding,” one fan said.

“no doubt in my mind, you know, that last flag that was thrown but was picked up from the last Bills play was just in case Dalton Kincaid caught it,” a third fan commented the final Buffalo Bills play.

Allen completed 22 of his 34 pass attempts for 237 yards and two touchdowns with zero turnovers while adding 39 yards rushing.
What Must The Buffalo Bills Do To Get Over The Hump?
The final offensive play of the Bills season ended with quarterback Josh Allen launching a ball toward tight end Dalton Kincaid and watching as it hit him in the hands and dropped to the ground.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback dropped to 0-4 in his playoff career against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs as his hopes of reaching the Super Bowl have once again come up just short.
Falling to the Chiefs in the playoffs has been the massive hurdle that the Bills cannot seem to complete.
