Michael Irvin couldn’t wait to sing the praises of the Dallas Cowboys.
The only time you can expect Stephen A. Smith to lose a shouting match on First Take is when Michael Irvin joins the show and after the Dallas Cowboys won a game.
Irvin’s passion for the Dallas Cowboys is unmeasured and he made sure we knew his Tuesday segment on First Take was going to be insane.
“Maybe I’ve overextended my welcome, I may not ever be back again!” Irvin said.
“Somebody get him a towel because he clearly needs a towel. He needs a towel, OK? He needs a towel. Calm down, calm down,” Smith said, pleading with someone to assist his sweat-soaked debate partner. “He needs a towel bad. This is like it was in Texas.”
The former Dallas Cowboys receiver was clearly excited about his team’s 23-16 win over the New York Giants. The Cowboys sacked Daniel Jones five times, piled up 12 QB hits and tallied 17 QB pressures, per Next Gen Stats.
Two-time Pro Bowler Demarcus Lawrence matched his single-game career high with three sacks in the game.
The Dallas Cowboys play their second NFC East game in a row when they host the Washington Commanders at AT&T Stadium on Oct. 2.
