The Minnesota Vikings have a very tricky situation on their hands as they hope to get Dalvin Cook back on board with the team now that he is seeking a new deal.
The 2017 second-round pick is entering his final year of his rookie deal, and is only set to make $1.3 million in 2020. He has no plans to play under that deal after it reported on Monday that he will not participate in team activities without a “reasonable” deal. Adam Schefter reported that the holdout could last through “camp or beyond.”
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN added the Vikings first offer to the former Florida State star comes in at under $10 million per year and he deemed that be “disrespectful.”
Cook is looking to break into that top tier at the running back position as Christian McCaffrey of the Carolina Panthers leads the pack with his record signing contract just this offseason.WANT MORE FROM TOTALPROSPORTS? FOLLOW US ON GOOGLE NEWS.
