After a two-year stint with Sean Payton’s Denver Broncos, the veteran wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey is taking his talents to the Big Apple.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the New York Giants are signing Lil’Jordan Humphrey to a one-year contract. The Giants later confirmed the deal with the 2019 undrafted product out of Texas.

Humphrey joins a Giants receiver room led by 2024 rookie sensation Malik Nabers and veteran Darius Slayton, who signed a three-year contract extension worth $36 million last week.
The New Orleans Saints signed Humphrey after he was unselected in the 2019 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he appeared in five games. In 2021, he enjoyed a larger role, catching 13 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns.
Lil’Jordan Humphrey appeared in six games with the New England Patriots before joining the Broncos in 2023. He tallied a career-high three receiving touchdowns in 2023, before posting new personal bests in receptions (31) and yards (293) in 2024.

In 58 games, Humphrey has 62 receptions for 770 yards and seven touchdowns. Despite his first name, the 26-year-old Humphrey is by no means little with a 6-foot-4 and 225-pound frame.
Lil’Jordan Humphrey Could Enjoy A Larger Role With Giants
Nabers became the first Giants player to hit 1,000 receiving yards since Odell Beckham Jr. in 2018. The aforementioned Slaton isn’t a star by any means, but he’s been a reliable No. 2 pass-catcher four 700-yard seasons under his belt.
But the Giants lack bonafide pass-catching playmakers outside of Nabers and Slayton, so the opportunity is very much there for Humphrey to step in and produce as a reliable No. 3 receiver.
Of course, it largely depends on who the Giants will have at quarterback. They’ve visited with Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson, though GM Joe Schoen could target a QB like Miami’s Cam Ward, Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders or Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss in the draft.
