It’s the call that ruined Super Bowl 57.
We were headed to an epic finish between the Eagles and Chiefs… until the officiating crew decided to make a very questionable holding call on the Eagles defense after what appeared to be a big third-down stop.
That play gave the Chiefs a fresh set of downs, and they were able to run down most of the clock before kicking the game-winning field goal with just a few seconds left on the clock.
NFL fans obviously wanted to see this game decided by the teams, and not the refs. So they went off on the officiating…as you’d expect them to.
That’s a tough way to end what was otherwise an epic Super Bowl. In the end, the Chiefs would emerge with the 38-35 victory, giving them their second title in the last four years.WANT MORE FROM TOTALPROSPORTS? FOLLOW US ON GOOGLE NEWS.
