A ruling on the Deshaun Watson investigation is expected to come down on Monday and it seems like the NFLPPA already knows the number. Sue Robinson is expected to give her ruling to the NFL and the NFL Players Association regarding Watson and his potential suspension.
Ahead of that announcement, the NFLPA dropped a statement saying that it will not be appealing the decision and it is calling on the NFL to do the same.
“The NFLPA has issued a statement saying it will not appeal Sue L. Robinson’s ruling on Deshaun Watson, and calling on the NFL to do the same,” Tom Pelissero tweeted.
That leads you to believe they know the number and are fine with it.
Both the NFL and the NFLPA could appeal Robinson’s decision if they chose to.
Watson has settled 20 of 24 civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault misconduct during massages.
Per Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, those involved with the situation expect Watson to be suspended for less than a full season. He also added that if Watson does get less than a year, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell could appeal the decision.
