The Tennessee Titans are embracing a fresh yet familiar look for the 2025 NFL season.
The franchise announced Thursday that “Titan blue” will be the primary home jersey color moving forward, replacing navy blue as the dominant shade. This decision marks a return to the team’s roots while aligning with what fans have consistently favored over the years.
Since rebranding from the Tennessee Oilers in the late 1990s, the Titans have primarily featured navy blue in their home uniforms. The team introduced light blue, dubbed “Titan blue,” in 2003 before making it an alternate option later. While the team occasionally sported Titan blue jerseys last season, this fall, the color will become a staple.
Titans’ Smart Move Rooted In Tradition
Titans President and CEO Burke Nihill emphasized that the shift stems from fan feedback and the franchise’s historical connection to the color.
“We’re talking to fans and we’re listening, and there’s a clear appetite to have the Titans, their team, represented on the field in this noticeable color that has been with this team from 1960 in Houston, into Memphis, at Vanderbilt, and as we’ve played at Nissan Stadium,” Nihill said.

The Titans wore Titan blue jerseys four times last season, including twice in the regular season. With this decision, the color will now dominate every home game. Fans will also get their first official look at the jersey when Tennessee makes its No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, widely expected to be Miami quarterback Cam Ward, who will hold up a Titan blue jersey on draft night.

“Our fans, our players, they love it,” Nihill added. “The Titans blue has always been a part of this organization, and there is something that is uniquely this organization when that color is the dominant color.”
The NFL is set to release the 2025 schedule next month, revealing when the Titans will show their new home look. Until then, anticipation continues to build for a return to a color that has long been synonymous with the franchise.
