One NFC team is reportedly going all-out to scout Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders at his pro day.
Shedeur Sanders and Miami’s Cam Ward are the consensus two best quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft class. Ward is widely expected to be the first QB taken, with most projecting him as the first overall pick by the Tennessee Titans.
According to Sports Illustrated NFL insider Albert Breer, the New York Giants have sent an army of coaches and executives to observe the Colorado Buffaloes’ pro day. That includes GM Joe Schoen, head coach Brian Daboll, director of player personnel Tim McDonnell, assistant GM Brandon Brown, defensive coordinator Shane Bowen and offensive coordinator Mike Kafka.
The Giants hold the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, with the Cleveland Browns set to pick at No. 2 behind Tennessee. If neither club selects Shedeur Sanders, he’ll likely fall down the board considerably.
Today is Colorado Pro Day—QB Shedeur Sanders and CB/WR Travis Hunter will work out for scouts. The Giants have a BIG crew going, led by GM Joe Schoen, HC Brian Daboll, assistant GM Brandon Brown, DPP Tim McDonnell, OC Mike Kafka and DC Shane Bowen.

New York picks 3rd overall.
New York signed veteran quarterbacks Russell Wilson (one year) and Jameis Winston (two years) in free agency last month. But both are merely bridge QBs at this phase of their careers, so Schoen and Daboll could very well target another signal-caller early in the draft.
In his last season of college football, Shedeur Sanders threw for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions to go along with four rushing touchdowns.

Where Could Shedeur Sanders Land If He Falls Outside The Top-Three?

If the Titans, Browns and Giants all pass on Sanders, he’s not going to be a top-five pick unless someone trades up with the New England Patriots (No. 4) or Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 5).
The Las Vegas Raiders just handed Geno Smith a two-year contract extension, but they could still target Shedeur Sanders with the No. 6 pick and have him learn behind the Pro Bowl quarterback.
The New Orleans Saints (No. 9), Indianapolis Colts (14, if they’re ready to give up on Anthony Richardson) and Pittsburgh Steelers (21) could also consider Sanders if he’s still on the board when they pick.
