Panthers offensive lineman Taylor Hearn is not used to having his name make headlines, but that’s exactly what happened when he got into a street fight and the video was released by TMZ.
On Thursday, the second year player issued a formal apology for the incident outside a bar in Augusta, Ga.
‘’Dear Panther Nation: I would like to offer my deepest apologies to the Panthers organization, my teammates and coaches, the fans and the league,” Hearn said in a statement from his agent, via David Newton of ESPN.com. “I take full responsibility for my actions. There is no excuse for my behavior, and I will learn from my mistakes.”
During that video, the 6-foot-4, 315-pounder seemed to be the aggressor as he walked towards a much smaller man who clearly carried all of his weight in his hand as he knocked Hearn out with one punch.
