Somebody clearly did not think this one through.
The clock appears to be running out on the career of Ben Roethlisberger as he alluded to Monday night being his final home game.
“I don’t ever speak in definites or guarantees, that’s not what I’ve ever done or who I am,” the Steelers quarterback said Thursday. “But, looking at the bigger picture, I would say that all signs are pointing to this could be it. Regular season that is, I know we still have a chance to potentially get a playoff game there if things fall our way and we take care of business and things have to happen. But, in the grand scheme of things, in terms of regular seasons, signs are pointing that way this could be it.”
In advance of what could be his final home game, a Pittsburgh newspaper wanted to pay tribute to their legendary QB with a nice cover.
It did not work out as the cover appeared to be vulgar because of an unfortunate ad sticker placement.
For many in the AFC North, they likely feel just like that as he has tortured many teams for years.
When all is said and done for the 2021 season, it will mark the first losing season of Roethlisberger’s career. It’s not quite the way anyone in Pittsburgh wanted to send him out, but not everybody gets to go out on top.
