President Donald Trump is just as stunned as most NFL fans that Shedeur Sanders went undrafted in round one last night.
In what will go down as one of the most stunning draft falls in NFL history, Shedeur Sanders went from projected top-10 pick to going undrafted on Thursday. Adding to the surprise was the fact that the New York Giants traded up to take Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart at No. 25 overall, and few analysts and scouts had him above Shedeur.
Taking to his Truth Social account, President Trump praised Deion Sanders and expressed great confusion over Shedeur being undrafted last night. Trump went as far as calling other owners “stupid” in a scathing rant:
“What is wrong with NFL owners, are they STUPID? Deion Sanders was a great college football player, and was even greater in the NFL. He’s also a very good coach, streetwise and smart! Therefore, Shedeur, his quarterback son, has PHENOMENAL GENES, and is all set for Greatness. He should be “picked” IMMEDIATELY by a team that wants to WIN. Good luck Shedeur, and say hello to your wonderful father!”
In January, some folks projected that Shedeur would be the first-overall pick. Though Miami’s Cam Ward set himself apart from the other quarterbacks and unsurprisingly went first overall to the Tennessee Titans, nobody could have expected that Sanders would fall out of round one.

The Giants were widely linked to Shedeur Sanders but selected Dart instead. The quarterback-needy New Orleans Saints passed on Sanders and took Texas offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr.

Many thought the Pittsburgh Steelers would consider Sanders at No. 1, but they took Pittsburgh defensive tackle Derrick Harmon with their selection. Once the Giants took Dart, it was rather evident that Sanders would have to wait at least another day to be selected.
Cleveland Browns Look Like The Best Landing Spot For Shedeur Sanders Now

The Browns hold the No. 33 and No. 36 (via the Jacksonville Jaguars) in the second round of the draft today, and they don’t have a long-term answer at quarterback lined up. So don’t be surprised if Clevealnd uses one of those two picks on the Colorado product.
