Henry Ruggs has blazing speed on tape, but the actual numbers are just as impressive. There was a clear reason he was selected by the Raiders with the 12th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The 21-year-old ran the fastest 40-yard dash time at the 2020 NFL combine, notching a time of 4.27 seconds, which was . 08 seconds faster than the next-closest prospect.
Ruggs is actually set in a situation to get a ton of targets in his rookie year and possibly put him the conversation of winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Since 2004, only tow WR;s in Odell Beckham Jr. in 2014 and Percy Harvin in 2009 have taken home the award.
Now, back to his insane speed. In a recent video dropped on social media, it truly shows just how insane not only his speed is and will become, but how crazy his footwork is.
The Raiders might’ve actually struck gold with this kid.
Appearing in 12 games last season, Ruggs accounted for 746 yards and seven touchdowns on 40 receptions.
For his career, he is responsible for 1,716 yards and 24 touchdowns on 98 catches and has averaged more than 17.5 yards per reception over his three years for the Crimson Tide.
