This 2021 NFL season is expected to be “Sunday Night Football” reporter Michele Tafoya’s final one on the sidelines, according to the Post.
“Sources said it is Tafoya’s decision to step away from the field. She has been on network TV at CBS, ABC/ESPN and NBC for nearly three decades.
NBC declined comment, while Tafoya could not be immediately reached.”
In the last few weeks, the 56-year-old has been in the news because she has missed three games, which NBC describes as “bye weeks.”
Those bye weeks came after she appeared on ABC’s “The View” where she made headlines when she compared COVID to the flu, saying the “flu kills people.” She also made comments about Colin Kaepernick not being on an NFL roster that made the crowd moan in disagreement.
NBC has the Super Bowl in February in Los Angeles, which will be Tafoya’s final time on the sideline.
