Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has three visits scheduled in December, according to a report from Josina Anderson of CBS Sport.s
On Thursday, Anderson reported that Beckham will visit his old team, the New York Giants, as well as the Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys in December. Anderson added that OBJ is still talking with the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.
All five of these clubs are in prime playoff position, so it looks like Beckham will be joining a team with legitimate championship hopes. A reunion with the Los Angeles Rams is off the table now, as they sit dead-last in the NFC West with a 3-7 record.
Aaron Rodgers’ Green Bay Packers were long-rumored as a potential landing spot for Beckham. But with the Packers sitting at 4-7, they don’t make much sense for the veteran Pro Bowler anymore.
The 30-year-old wideout is recovering from surgery on a torn ACL that he suffered in the Rams’ Super Bowl 56 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Feb. 13.
On Sunday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported that Beckham was planning to meet with the Cowboys and Giants after Thanksgiving. Beckham spent his first five seasons with the Giants (2014 to 2018), before getting traded to the Cleveland Browns in a 2019 offseason blockbuster.
The Browns released Beckham amid a disappointing 2021 season in which he caught just 17 passes for 232 yards and zero touchdowns in six games. Beckham regained his star-like form after joining the Rams, racking up five touchdowns in eight games.
Beckham turned his game up another notch in the postseason. In four playoff games, he caught 21 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns. For his career, OBJ has 531 receptions for 7,367 yards and 56 touchdowns. He has hit the 1,000-yard mark five tims in his career.
