The divorce between the Seahawks and Russell Wilson was long in the making because shots are being fired from both sides.
After his team’s Week 1 victory over Wilson’s Broncos, Pete Carroll stated that the numbers showed that Wilson is less effective at throwing while moving to his left. It was part of the Seahawks game plan in their Week 1 win over the Broncos.
Russell Wilson fired back at him after the Denver Broncos took down the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football. Wilson was asked about his throw to Kendall Hinton on the go-ahead drive late in the fourth quarter and knew the perfect way to respond back.
“I went left. I guess I can still go left,” Wilson said.
Wilson completed 20 of 33 pass attempts for 184 yards and no touchdowns while adding 17 yards on six carries in Sunday’s 11-10 win over the 49ers.
Wilson struggled against San Francisco’s fierce pass rush and heard another chorus of boos from the home crowd following multiple consecutive three-and-out drives.
Somehow, the Broncos still won.
