This week’s Thursday Night Football matchup might not look sexy on paper, but it is sure to have some fireworks between the opposing quarterbacks.
It’s Gardner Minshew versus Ryan Fitzpatrick. Minshew Mania versus Fitzmagic.
The epic showdown of facial hair isn’t lost on the opposing quarterbacks either as they both traded barbs back and forth.
“The mustache versus the beard, I think the beard is a cooler look,” Fitzpatrick said. “I think guys that grow mustaches a lot of times have patchy sides for their beards, so they just stick with the mustache,” said Fitzpatrick.
The 24-year-old Minshew wasn’t fazed by the fellow Florida man.
“I think I’ve shown I can grow a beard with no patchy sides,” the Jags starter responded. “You know, I have a lot of respect for my elders … especially when they’re much older.”
Enjoy this moment, because this could very well be the first and last time to the two face-off against each other.
