Santana Moss says owner Dan Snyder wanted him to play in a game versus the Dallas Cowboys badly back in 2007.
The former Washington Redskins wide receiver says Snyder wanted him to take powerful pain meds Toradol and Vicodin, but Moss also decided to drink half a Gatorade bottle of Hennessy beforehand to help numb the pain. He told that story to Master Tesfatsion of Bleacher Report for the latest installment of the highly entertaining “Untold Stories” series.
Moss was dealing with a heel injury at the time and informed Snyder that he once played “lights out” in a game with the New York Jets after taking a Vicodin and a Toradol (both painkillers), to which he said Snyder responded, “Well, we need to do that.”
Moss stated that he and other players would regularly take a shot of Hennessy before what they referred to as “Henny Games.”
Moss caught nine passes for 121 yards and scored a touchdown.
