Shedeur Sanders has sent a message to Cleveland fans in the wake of the Browns drafting him on Day 3.
The new Browns quarterback experienced a monumental slide after entering the draft with top-five hopes. He was not picked until the fifth round in one of the most bizarre draft controversies ever.
Even so, he will now have an opportunity to compete for a starting role in Cleveland’s offense.
While it proved to be a nightmare scenario for Shedeur, he claims the painstaking wait did not faze him, and he will make the best of his opportunity.
“Nothing really affected me the last couple of days,” he said, per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “I’m blessed. I know I have to clean up some things in my game. The main thing is proving Stefanski and Mr. Berry right about picking me.”
